His head was spinning. His bare feet slipped and stumbled on the filthy, freezing stone floor and the darkness welled up and threatened to drag him under. He caught the wall for support, and his hand left a long black smear of blood. What was it he had said to Midna only a few hours before?
"I assure you, my princess, my hands are clean."
Not anymore. Not in any sense of the word.

Oh, Rhent, how I love to torment you. This is the Twili Healer Rhent from chapter four of my fanfic "Finding the Cure" (until I come up with a better title). Chapter four has been pretty hard on Rhent; he's beaten, bruised and barely alive.
And somebody stole his clothes, which means I got to design all the cool markings and glowing symbols all over his body.
The glowing object he's holding is a "Summoning Stone" and is very important to the fanfic's plot.
I do not own the Legend of Zelda or the Twili. But Rhent is an original character, so I do own him. Please don't steal him!
You did an amazing job on this. The background is simple yet realistic, and I like the designs on Rhent's body. And the design of his skin makes it look like he's wearing something, so I'm not bothered so much by the lack of clothes. ^^ (Always a good thing!) The feet look really good, and I like how his red hair contrasts with the lighter colors of his body. Great job!
Thank you! Rhent is my favorite character in the fanfic (though you wouldn't guess it, since I constantly seem to abuse him), and I just love drawing him.

"I see," said the blind man, as he picked up his hammer and saw.
You're welcome! *laughs* I know people like that. I have another friend who abuses her characters practically as a RULE. And I'm kinda bad about it in my own way...I get such delight from putting people in mind-bogglingly confusing situations...XD
Exactly! Although I think it may have been more torture for the other two who thought they had killed her! XD
I'm gonna upload another episode or two tonight. Dang, I'm going to have to start writing these again! I have several unfinished, but I haven't worked on them in a long time.
I like the colors and design you gave him with the red/orange hair and eyes. I also like his droopy ears, that makes him seem more empathetic. I like the little bit you wrote for him here, it makes me curious about the fanfic!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
