To all the people who've been asking me if I'll be doing anything more with Zeta now that she's out of ~I-D-D, the answer is no, you'll never ever see her again. Ever.

But now for something completely different!

I've been invited to join the Black Lotus Society. At first I was planning to join SDL with one of my other characters, but then I realized that Zeta is my absolute favorite character right now, and I just want an excuse to keep doing comics with her. Thanks a bunch to =josukeX for the invite!

Also, I'm fairly certain the kanji for her family name is wrong, but it was the closest I could manage. If anyone knows the correct kanji, please tell me.

Name: Purojukuto Zeta (but just "Zeta" will do)

Age: Around 15, but she's not really sure.

Height: 5' 3"

Team: Black Lotus Society (Kurohasu-kai)

Likes: Sunflowers, the color yellow, people who are nice to her, making the Black Lotus proud of her.

Dislikes: Pain, the Black Lotus's disapproval, being by herself.

Physical Abilities: Zeta isn't very strong and has a very low pain tolerance, but a punch from one of those wooden fists could knock a few teeth out. She has good balance and above average reflexes. She is ambidextrous.

History: When Zeta was born with severely deformed hands, her superstitious family believed her to be some sort of monster or demon. They abandoned her when she was a very young child, but she was soon taken in by the Black Lotus Society, a yakuza group led by the prophet Daisuke Kyouku. Aside from providing food and shelter for the child, they also preformed one other service for her; replacing her deformed, fingerless hands with a pair of beautifully carved wooden ones. (Yes, it was extraordinarily painful.) The prosthetics are expertly jointed and can function just like real human hands. She is accustomed to getting funny looks and hardly pays any mind to it anymore.

The Black Lotus is famous for owning and operating a small line of public bathhouses and it is in one of these, the Hasu Sento, that Zeta grew up. She now lives and works there. She has never ventured far from the bathhouse, and she knows very little about the outside world.

Personality: Zeta is extremely loyal to the Black Lotus and to its leader the prophet Daisuke, whom she looks up to half as a mentor and half as some sort of god. She would do anything to make them happy.

She is a nice person, and perpetually curious about everything. She's very trusting, a little naive, and she usually believes what she's told. Nonviolence is important to her, as it is her way of assuring herself that she is not a demon like her family believed. She doesn't have a violent nature and wouldn't try to hurt someone unless they hurt her first. However if a conflict can't be avoided she'll do her best to win, and she'd fight tooth and nail to uphold the honor of the Black Lotus.

Other info: Zeta cannot read or write very well, having received no formal education. She speaks enough english to understand and be understood when dealing with the bathhouse's foreign customers.

She may not seem too bright at first, but she's actually fairly intelligent. Growing up around a team of superb tactical thinkers has made her a quick learner, good at adapting to new situations.

She usually wears the Black Lotus's token of allegiance pinned to the collar of her undershirt, but she might take it out and wear it somewhere more noticeable if she's cheering a teammate on.
